Mike was honored by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for his support of medical research over the past quarter-century and for spearheading an ongoing public awareness campaign about prostate cancer and other cancers that has "helped millions of fathers, brothers and sons live long and healthier lives." Supervisor Mike Antonovich presented Mike with a proclamation as part of Los Angeles County's Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in September 2002.
