Mike addressed several hundred thousand marchers on the Mall in Washington at THE MARCH: Coming Together To Cure Cancer, in 1998. THE MARCH brought together more than 600 cancer groups and helped raise awareness of cancer issues on Capitol Hill. Mike, one of the prime organizers of the THE MARCH, was the honorary chairman of the event.
