Mike was joined by the Boston Red Sox mascot, the Green Monster, philanthropist and businessman Brian Reynolds, entertainer Paula Abdul, Red Sox owner Larry Lucchino and manager Bobby Valentine at a Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) Home Run Challenge game. Each year in the two weeks before Father's Day, the PCF raises funding for prostate cancer research by having fans donate money for each home run hit in 75 HRC games (MLB teams average 130 HRC home runs each year). Mike also travels the country attending games and promoting the need for increased medical research funding. Since 1993, the PCF has raised more than $500 million for cancer research.
