Every year during the Prostate Cancer Foundation's (PCF) Home Run Challenge, Mike participates in on-field ceremonies and then heads to the broadcast booth to raise public awareness about prostate cancer and the need for increased funding for prostate cancer research. Each year in the two weeks before Father's Day, the PCF raises funds for prostate cancer research by having fans donate money for each home run hit in 75 HRC games (MLB teams average 130 HRC home runs each year).
