Mike joined U.S. FDA Commissioner Andrew von Eschenbach, M.D., prostate cancer pioneer Donald Coffey, Ph.D., and other leading researchers in marking the achievements of the first 10 years of cancer research funded by the Department of Defense's Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP). Above, Mike (second from right) is joined by Dr. Coffey, Jonathan Simons, M.D., president and CEO of the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) and Emory University's Leland Chung, Ph.D. Both Simons and Chung were supported by the PCF before they received larger PCRP funding. Since 1997, the Department of Defense's PCRP has funded more than $1 billion in prostate cancer research projects.
