Mike congratulates Milken Educator Award winner Charles Jenney, a science teacher at Robinson Middle School in Wichita, Kansas, at this year's National Education Conference. Jenney was one of 100 K-12 educators to receive a Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award, which includes an unrestricted $25,000 award. One of Jenney's innovative lesson plans is "Travels to an Unexplored Planet," in which students imagine they are part of a scientific investigation team that must travel to a different planet to solve various problems. The Milken Family Foundation has awarded more than 2,500 K-12 educators nationwide since 1987.
