Edward Prescott, Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank, won the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2004 for contributions to dynamic macroeconomics, specifically the time consistency of economic policy and the driving forces behind business cycles; theory of economic development and growth, and financial markets; tax policy; tax disincentives of Europeans to work long hours compared to Americans.
